AlphaTheta (sister brand of PioneerDJ) unveils Battery-Powered OMNIS-DUO DJ Controller

AlphaTheta, the newly established sister brand of Pioneer DJ, unveiled its inaugural products, the OMNIS-DUO (Similar name to the OPUS-QUAD), an all-in-one DJ unit, and the WAVE-EIGHT, a Bluetooth speaker. These releases mark the debut offerings from the AlphaTheta brand, which was officially introduced earlier this week on January 23rd.

Functioning as an all-in-one solution, the two-channel OMNIS-DUO empowers DJs to execute performances without the need for a laptop, utilizing a USB stick or SD card. Boasting a central color touchscreen, dual jog wheels, eight performance pads per channel, a three-band EQ per channel, a crossfader, Beat FX, Color FX controls, and Bluetooth capability for seamless connectivity to smartphones, the DUO offers a comprehensive suite of features. In terms of connectivity, the OMNIS-DUO offers versatility with XLR and RCA master outputs, RCA booth connectors, two headphone outs, two mic inputs, and a line input for external sources. Enhancing its portability, the unit boasts a five-hour battery life, ideal for on-location DJing, and features an eco mode for prolonged sets.

AlphaTheta emphasizes a swift three-hour USB-C charging time for the DUO. Additionally, it seamlessly integrates with laptops for rekordbox DJ control and is slated to support Serato Lite soon. The OMNIS-DUO’s WiFi compatibility facilitates connection with rekordbox iOS, enabling Link Export and cloud-based music playback through rekordbox CloudDirectPlay. However, information regarding supported streaming services on the hardware is currently unavailable.
