When Martin Garrix unloaded a couple minutes of techno on the Ultra mainstage, it’s safe to say that many wouldn’t have predicted that happening in a million years. But it undoubtedly made for one of his set’s—and the weekend’s—most memorable moments. Just a couple of months later, Blinders made his way back to STMPD RCRDS for the first time—minus “Aurora“—since early 2022. And after previously hinting at a second iteration of “Prayer,” Blinders has now doubled down with part two.
“Prayer” had already given a first look at Blinders matured, reengineered sound that he’d been developing in the time since his RAV APPEAL EP. And on the newest form of “Prayer,” Blinders expanded its original midsection and gave it a complete techno overhaul that once again reconfirms his well-rounded nature as a producer.
