The sun has set, nightfall is approaching, and Manila Killa has finally shared his long-awaited debut album, Dusk. Seamlessly interweaving just about every subgenre of melodic dance music into one project, Manila Killa has shown his wide range as a producer. And progressive and deep chords, immersive basslines, and emotional vocals, Dusk—Manila Killa’s first extended outing since 2019’s 1993 EP— are just a handful of sonic highlights that are spread across 12 album cuts.

An impressive aspect of Dusk is that there’s no predictability as to the direction of the following track. With EVAN GIIA, Kwesi, MADI, TRACE, and more featured throughout the album, Manila Killa has recruited both veterans and up-and-coming producers for assistance Dusk. That forenamed cross-genre journey becomes especially noticeable when listening to the album in order as Manila Killa takes listeners through the likes of deep house, trap, future bass, ambient, and more.
