The artists more synonymous with dance music than Eric Prydz are few and far between. Maybe those reading this have heard of him. Fast forward more than two decades since his debut release and the Swede is still at the top of his game. And while names like VNSSA, Chris Lorenzo, Vintage Culture, and Claptone immediately drew eyes when CRSSD‘s disclosed to the lineup to theeir summer 2022 edition of DAY.MVS XL, the weekend’s event couldn’t have been anyone other than Prydz in the Sunday night closing spot.

As one might expect, weather conditions at downtown San Diego’s Waterfront Park were perfect. And after a day filled with the sun shining, 70-degree weather, and a heavy dose of both house and techno to soundtrack the second and final day of DAY.MVS XL at one of the most idyllic venues on the planet, Prydz did what he does best to put a bow on the festival. Leading off with his recently delivered remix of Anyma and Christ Avantgarde’s “Consciousness,” Prydz’s jaw-dropping, two-hour set was a downpour of unreleased Cirez D music on top of Pryda favorites before he crescendoed into his remix of M83’s timeless classic, “Midnight City,” which still remains one of his most iconic releases to date.

With a return to Waterfont Park for CRSSD Festival’s fall edition just a few days away, now is as good of a time as ever to relive Eric Prydz’s full DAY.MVS XL set, courtesy of the legend iuron on YouTube.
