Hayden James, Cassian, and Elderbrook come together for ‘On Your Own’

Hayden James continues the build up to his sophomore album Lifted with a collaborative effort alongside Cassian that features Elderbrook on vocals. Titled “On Your Own,” the new single comes complete with its own music video, created by Cale Potts. The record, which premiered on Apple Music‘s The Travis Mills Show, is a club-ready house tune that had been sitting dormant as a demo for years before James “sent [the track] to Elderbrook mid-lockdown.” Per James, Elderbrook “came back with the first verse and straight away, the vocal was so, so great.” The track would lay dormant some more before James ultimately played it for Cassian in the studio, where they would finish it.

“On You Own” is the third single of the Lifted rollout, following “Waiting for Nothing” featuring Yaegar and “Hold Tight.” Cassian is fresh off a two-track EP for Rose Avenue Records and Elderbrook is on the heels of 2021’s dazzling Innerlight EP. Listen to “On Your Own” below.
