Joris Voorn discusses his excitement regarding the future of Trance

Dutch producer and DJ Joris Voorn has spent 2023 on the road, hitting stages on nearly every continent. He took some time out of his busy schedule to discuss his releases and live performances with the team at We Rave You.

At the time of the interview, Joris Voorn had just released his incredible single You & I, which features an incredible vocal from Nathan Nicholson, and he details how he found the vocal beautiful and impactful from the start, building the track around it. Voorn reveals how he believes the track was written in more of a singer-songwriter mindset, but the producer found the melodies intriguing for the electronic music landscape. From there, he goes on to talk about writing for his next album, and how enjoys the freedom of exploring sounds beyond the landscape required for singles and performances. Voorn talks about his excitement at building music that tells a larger story and how appreciates the freedom that writing an album allows.
