Kygo, Gryffin ‘Woke Up In Love’ on inevitable collaboration beside Calum Scott

An official Kygo and Gryffin collaboration has finally happened. And to no one’s surprise, it’s a glorious blend of tropical house and dance-pop bliss. Debuted back in July during Kygo’s first headlining night in Mexico City—where Gryffin served as direct support and was expectedly brought out for the single’s debut—”Woke Up In Love” seemed to only be a matter of time considering Gryffin’s rework of Kygo and Ellie Goulding‘s “First Time” from 2017 on top of the fact that the longtime friends routinely play golf together.

Summer may be on its way out the door, but it’s impossible not to picture sunny skies and white sandy beaches while listening to “Woke Up In Love.” Calum Scott—who some may recognize from Lost Frequencies‘ “Where Are You Now” with Felix Jaehn‘s “Rain In Ibiza”—provides the angelic vocals on what can only be described as a perfectly balanced collaboration between two of dance music’s biggest, brightest stars.

Kygo is currently looking towards a pair of massive shows at Life Is Beautiful and a debut headlining performance at New York City’s Madison Square Garden at the beginning of October. And as for Gryffin’s end, he’s currently in the middle of his Alive album and tour, which is set for release later this year is more than likely feature “Woke Up In Love,” which follows several sought-after pairings that include “Colors” with Blanke and Eyelar, “You Were Loved” with OneRepublic, “Alive” with Calle Lehmann, “Caught Up” with Olivia O’Brian, and “Reckless” with MØ.
