A tangible sign of how hard the music industry has been hit by the pandemic, London’s standout venue The Drumsheds, will be permanently closing its doors. The venue announced on social media that its final show will take place on January 29, 2022.

The final show at the venue will be The Hydra: Not To Be, which makes for a fitting sendoff as it features iconic regional talent such as Four Tet and Floating Points, Jon Hopkins, Joy Orbison and Ben UFO, as well as TSHA and EFFY, just to name a few. Tickets for the event are on sale as of the publishing of this article, however, can be expected to sell out shortly.

“NOT TO BE will also be the last ever show at The Drumsheds, which closes its doors next month. So, it was either this date, or cancelling the event altogether. But what a way to go, closing this outstanding venue with this show,”

The Drumsheds opened in 2019 by the promotional team behind sister venue, Printworks. A large-scale warehouse venue with more than ten acres of outdoor space, The Drumsheds hosted events of up to 40,000 in its shortly lived hayday.
