And just over two years removed from “Hold On”—which was also alongside the STMPD RCRDS boss—they knew another meeting was overdue. Introduced in between a slew of IDs during their Tomorrowland mainstage debut in July of 2022, “Afterglow” was originally believed to be an instrumental cut from the Russian brothers. But that speculation stopped on a dime once Martin Garrix welcomed its vocal mix during his 438th edition of The Martin Garrix Show, which just happened to feature Matisse & Sadko’s former “Hold On” collaborator.
