With just a week until Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello head back to the White Isle for the first official solo set as Swedish House Mafia—dating back to the end of 2019 and excluding the Coachella afterparty—they decided to lengthen a fan-favorite cut from Paradise Again. About an hour into July 8, some members of their Discord server randomly checked the trio’s artist profile on streaming platforms, where they were pleasantly surprised by the surprise appearance of an extended version of “Heaven Takes You Home.”
Following in the footsteps of the “Moth To A Flame” extended mix that also came as an unexpected present on Christmas Day, the updated version takes its duration just shy of a minute longer with a bonus intro and outro. The Connie Constance-backed production—which just earned the title of the current number-one track on U.S. dance radio—was a common pick as listeners’ favorite cut on Paradise Again and its lengthened form only adds onto that reasoning.
