Coming off of the viral sensation of “MAMI” featuring COBRAH, Chris Lorenzo is wasting no time fueling up with more house brilliance, this time joined by Walker & Royce on a collaborative new remix. After swapping remixes for each other over the years, the new joint effort sees the trio of producers wade into deep-house waters with an enchanting spin on Idris Muhammad’s 1977 disco classic, “Could Heaven Ever Be Like This.”
With Walker & Royce making the work a staple in their performances for more than a year, the delivery of a new remix strikes as an obvious play from the pair, with welcomed assistance from Lorenzo. Fusing Muhammad’s light-hearted and upbeat groove with a modern deep-house persuasion, “Could Heaven Ever Be Like This” remix is the perfect late summer vibe-setter that artfully complements its original counterpart.
